School Consultations
Psychodiagnostic evaluations: Dr. Hoffman offers comprehensive psychiatric assessments to schools of students whose services are not sufficiently meeting their needs. These evaluations include an extensive review of school records, classroom observation, interviews with school staff, parents, and the student’s treatment team, and an in-person student interview. She will then write a report outlining her clinical impressions, and make recommendations on how to better support the student in accessing the curriculum.
Continuing education: Dr. Hoffman offers clinical teachings about mental health subjects relevant to students and staff.
Clinical consultation: Dr. Hoffman is happy to provide informal sessions with school staff who are struggling with a specific student or classroom.
Risk Assessments: Dr. Hoffman provides a comprehensive psychodiagnostic assessment to schools and other agencies in circumstances where a student’s risk of harm to him or herself, or the safety of others is in question
